<body> <table border=0 cellpadding=4 cellspacing=0 width="100%"> <tr> <td> <p align="center"> <img border="0" src="http://www.escorialracing.com/images/comps/apb_logo.gif" width="375" height="85"> </p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <div align="left"> <table> <tr> <td> <p class="green2el" align="center" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 5"> <span class=frameheadshadowlg>Competition Rules<span class=frameheadlg>Competition Rules</span></span></p> </td> </tr> </table> </div> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> Escorial Racing's Aintree Punchbowl competition will be running over the three days of the Aintree Grand National meeting - 3rd to 5th April.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> Entrants will need to select three horses from each race - a first place, second place and a reserve plus a JOKER race for the day.<br> The reserve is used to replace any last-minute withdrawals from the race.<br> Your JOKER race must consist of 8 or more runners, at the time of posting your selections.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> If your horse nominated as selection 1 is withdrawn on the day, your second selection becomes selection 1 and your reserve becomes selection 2.<br> If your horse nominated as selection 2 is withdrawn then your reserve horse becomes selection 2.<br> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> Points are awarded for your horse nominated as selection 1 in each race, being placed or by correctly selecting the first and second place horses in the correct order.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> Points are awarded as follows:<br> 20 points for selecting the first and second placed horses in the correct order.<br> 10 points for your selection 1 winning<br> 7 points for 2nd place<br> 5 points for 3rd place<br> 3 points for 4th place</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> Your horse nominated as selection 2 <b>does not</b> score points other than correctly selecting the first and second place as above.<br> Any points scored are doubled on the races in which you play your Joker.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> Your initial entry must be made before the start of racing on day 1 and must at least include your entries for day 1.<br> Your selections can be made for the three days in advance or on a daily basis but the option for creating your entry will be locked out at the start of racing on day 1.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> The database will be locked at the start of racing each day and will be unlocked each evening so no updates to your entry can be made during this time You can still view the selections you have made for that day / previous days during the time the database is locked.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> Once the database is unlocked each evening you will only be allowed to modify or add selections for the current and subsequent days.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> Each entrant is only allowed to enter one set of selections and any suspected additional entries made using another user name will be manually deleted.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> If you make an error in your selections or wish to modify them then please use the delete or modify link as appropriate.<br> The delete option will only be available up to the start of racing on day 1.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> You have access to enter and modify your own selections only but can list the selections of all other entrants for comparison.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> The winner is the person with the most points over the four days and will be the proud owner of the splendid RoseBowl plus £50 in cash.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> In the (unlikely) event of a tie, first place will be awarded to the entrant that has selected the most winners over the four days.<br> It we still have a tie, then we will place an imaginary £1 on each of the contestants primary selections and the the list that produces the largest balance, will be deemed the winner.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> The organisers of this competition have attempted to make this an open and fair competition but reserve the right to remove an entrant if they suspect abuse.</p> <p style="margin: 5px 0" align="justify"> If you have any comments or suggestions you are invited to e-mail <a href="mailto:siteadmin\@escorialracing.co.uk">siteadmin@escorialracing.co.uk</a></p> </td> </tr> </table> </body>
